How to change the List Template size - when you get "The list is too large to save as a template"

Here is a qucik Tip - If you get this error "The list is too large to save as a template" while saving a list as template you probably are saving a list with 50 MB of data in it. This is a Soft limit for List Templates. Good news is that you can modify using the stsadm command below to maximun of 500MB. Thats a hard stop.

stsadm -o setproperty -propertyname max-template-document-size -propertyvalue 50000000

 You can't save list template more then 500MB size.
